Somewhat more reticent,
Barbara Zollna, is of Chinese/Spanish descent. A "Trini" by birth; her
experience in the travel and hospitality industry and an in-depth knowledge of the tourism
industry is an asset for first time visitors to Trinidad and Tobago.
The Zollnas had searched for years, then finally found
and purchased an abandoned 28 acre estate on the north coast of Trinidad
in
1993.
Their dream of a sublimely beautiful sand, sea as well as nature oriented place for
their retirement became a reality when they welcomed their first guests to Laguna Mar in
October of 1994.
Visitors from all continents have penned acclamations
in the Laguna Mar Guest Comment Book. Fred and Barbara do not take any credits for the
natural beauty of the area; but certainly acknowledge the contributions of their staff for
the fine reputation of excellent cuisine and friendly service.
Here is but one example of their
hospitality |
